No. I didn't vote in the last election, but I will in the future.
I would fly a flag, but my JW husband would flip his liver if I did and I'm putting aside that battle for more important things right now.
are any of you still 'politically neutral' for biblical reasons?
just curious.. .
lwt.

i don't cook so i usually eat one meal a day out.
i pobably spend a couple of hundred a week with food an d drink.
what about choo?.
We spend too much in restaurants, about $70 a week for the 4 of us. We do tend to look for two-fer deals or other discounts.
I love to cook, but our schedule often gets so hectic that at 9:00 PM we are starving and we end up at a restaurant anyway.
Applebees has a nice deal for 2. You get two full sized entrees and an appetizer to share for $20.
but i don't write this for sympathy.
actually, i just thought you all would like to hear how i am doing, esp with a little space now between me and the borg.
(its been 3 years).
...But I also think that those whom JW's call "weak" were the strong ones all along. Those that left without getting neck deep in the politics and power and propaganda....
I agree with this totally, but I would expand it to include everyone who wakes up and leaves, even those who can only leave in their hearts but physically have to keep going through the motions for their families. It takes great strength to go against the WTS.
Your posts have been a source of strength to me in my battles, thank you for being here.
my friends mum is a dub , and she has told her grandchild to come back to meetings as armageddon is coming in the form of swine flu and its going to kill everyone in a month because a member of the congregation had a dream , the problem is the month has passed !
what a lovely grandma telling her grandchild such bedtime stories ,physological child abuse i would have thought it really pisses me off that these people get away with putting such fear into kids heads and have the damn nerve to look down on "worldley people " poor kids .
Does that PO think he is psychic or something? Believing in dreams? Sounds to me like he needs to have a JC called for his own good.
mom and i share the same ip address for 2 different computers.
so, until i'm able to get an account of my own, i will be borrowing hers.
:d i won't read any pm's, by the way.
Hi Egg! Welcome to the board
he was born yesterday with many complications including breathing problems, possible lung underdevelpment, anemia and body temperature issues.
the poor little guy was hooked up to a breathing tube and tons of monitors.
because the hospitals couldn't handle some of the problems, they sent him and my daughter to the best hospital in boston last night.
30% blood loss in such a small chid , probably only needed a couple ounces of blood at the most. The important think to remember is that they cannot use blood expanders in such severe loss. Blood is the only treatment. Time is also of the essence so there is no oxygen deprivation. I can't fathom anyone not allowing the doctors to do what is necessary.
Sounds like he is getting excellent medical care.
Still praying :f:
i hated it.
we actually never really did.. once, on vacations, we were with another family, they prepared food on the table for breakfast .... and then nobody could touch it for some 15 minutes, when daddy was reading daily text and asking childish questions ... family members were raising hands and answering .... we all were hungry... watching the food ... and hoping it will soon be over (i dont mean armageddon, i mean daily text...) i felt just like an idiot..... albert.
.
NO!
Not when I was growing up, not when I was on my own and whie I read the occasional Watchtower and Awake that my husband brings home, I wouldn't bother with the text. Waste of time and usually such a stretch to make the scripture fit in with the comments.

Oh my , I have a step- grand daughter that had some of the same problems shortly after she was born. Low birth weight, heart problems, pneumonia, ect. Now she is a bouncy, healthy 2 year old. Little ones are so tough when they need to be.
It's difficult while you are going through it all, but so very worth it. Doctors can do so much to help the little ones now. we always believe that every day is a precious gift.
Sending you much positivity and prayers.

Sending positivity to all of you and prayers for young Benjamin. Little babies can be very tough. That they might remove the tube is very encouraging.
